Entertainer and Canadian rapper, Drake, just became an investor of the up-and-coming vegan chicken brand, Daring Foods. As part of the Series B round of funding, Drake’s investment will allow the company to expand its retail reach to 4,500 US stores by the end of the year. Currently, Daring can be found in select Sprouts, Kroger, and Costco locations.

The long-anticipated vegan pork product OmniPork is scheduled to debut in several California restaurants on Earth Day (April 22). The plant-based, complete protein is the world’s first vegan pork alternative. Originally launched in Asia, and more recently Australia and the UK, OmniPork’s US rollout will begin with a few select restaurants in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Honolulu. The goal is to expand nationwide by summer 2021.
