Vegan Events Happening This Summer, Fall, and Winter in NYC

Celebrate all things vegan at these festivals and pop-up events taking place across NYC and the tri-state area!

We are pleased to announce that as restrictions begin to lift throughout NYC, vegan events are also making a comeback. Plan a self-care weekend by stopping by a pop-up shop for sustainable products and delicious vegan eats, or gather a group of friends to attend a festival complete with live music, plant-based food, games, and more! Here are eight vegan events happening this summer, fall, and winter in NYC and the Tri-State area.

Black VegFest PULL UP

Brooklyn, NY

Founded by vegan activist Omowale Adewale, Black VegFest PULL UP will make its annual debut in Brooklyn on August 14 from 12-5pm. The one-day event will focus on Black liberation, animal welfare, and health and wellness, as well as environmental stewardship. The festival features vegan bites from Black-owned businesses such as Shakti Wellness Bar, Veggie Grub, High Vibrations Juice Bar, Kelewele, and more. Beginning on August 2, guests will also have the option to pre-order their meals ahead of the event by visiting blackvegfest.org. The event location is TBD.

Vegan Grill N Chill

Baldwin, NY

Get your vegan groove on at this year’s Vegan Grill N Chill, set to take place on Saturday, August 21 from 2-9pm in Baldwin, NY. The theme for this year’s outdoor festivities is “Hip Hop Hippy Vibes,” with the objective to create a fun atmosphere that promotes health and wellness through eco-friendly, plant-based food options. The event will also feature exhibition booths from local Black-owned businesses, as well as music from local NYC DJs, games, and entertainment. Those who wish to attend can purchase tickets on the festival website, vegangrillnchill.com. The event location will be sent after tickets are purchased.

Vegandale

Randall’s Island, NY

Named after the iconic city block that’s dedicated to all things vegan in Downtown Toronto, Vegandale is bringing the plant-based fun to NYC through their annual event in Randall’s Island Park. The festival will take place on Saturday, September 25 from 11am-7pm, and features plant-based eats from both local and nationwide vendors such as NoDoh Brand, Oh My Cod Vegan Seafood, These Wingz, Eggloo, and Terms of Endearment, to name a few. Guests can purchase tickets by visiting vegandalefest.com.

New Jersey Vegan Food Festival

Secaucus, NJ

This two-day event celebrates the plant-based lifestyle with vegan meals from local chefs, vegan products, eco-conscious fashion, live music, and chill vibes. The New Jersey Vegan Food Festival will take place on Saturday, November 13 and Sunday, November 14 from 11am-5pm at the Meadowlands Expo Center in Secaucus, NJ. Tickets can be purchased by visiting eventbrite.com.

Long Island Vegan Pop Up

Long Island, NY

Looking for something to do on a Sunday afternoon? Long Island Vegan Pop Up has you covered! The 100% plant-based marketplace hosts bi-weekly pop-ups throughout Long Island, and features over 25 vendors, such as Vodega NYC, VeganShopCo, The Waffle Chic, and JuicyLivin’. The next pop-up event is set to take place on Sunday, August 8 from 2-6pm at 3434 Hempstead Turnpike, and admission is free of charge.

A Harvest Celebration: Vegan Pop Up Dinner

Long Branch, NJ

On August 4, Chef Darren will present a vegan pop-up dinner complete with live music, a cooking demo, and party favors. The three-course menu features local and seasonal items from Two River Mushrooms, such as collard green egg rolls with sweet chili remoulade, oyster mushroom po’boys with fries, and desserts by Mollie Mack Vegan Cakery. Guests will also receive a complimentary beet cocktail with their meal. Get your tickets by visiting eventbrite.com.

It’s Time to Boss Up Pop Up Shop

Bronx, NY

If spending the day shopping for crystals and art while eating delicious vegan food is your jam, then stop by the It’s Time to Boss Up Pop Up Shop on Friday, August 6 from 5:30-9:30pm. The event will be located inside Mottley Kitchen in the Bronx, and each $20 ticket includes a complimentary mimosa and fruit kebab to enjoy as you shop. In addition to crystals, art, and vegan eats, the pop-up also features a variety of herbs, poetry, and skincare products from local vendors, as well as a DJ and photographer.

Plant-Based World Conference & Expo

New York, NY

Are you a vegan business owner interested in learning more about how plant-based products are developed, sourced, and distributed? Then you’ve come to the right place! The Plant-Based World Conference & Expo is scheduled to run from December 9-10 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in NYC.
