Vegan Food Truck Cycle Dogs to Open Brick-and-Mortar in Seattle
After six years operating as a mobile eatery, vegan food truck Cycle Dogs will open its first permanent location in the former No Bones Beach Club space. The vegan tiki-themed bar and restaurant closed during the spring of 2020.
Cycle Dogs owners Keaton and Becky Tucker have launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund the final costs of opening this brick-and-mortar. The pair envisions a slight renovation to the space to elicit a “backyard vibe” where “it feels like summer year-round,” according to Eater Seattle.
While the cornerstone of the Cycle Dogs menu is vegan hot dogs, it’s far more than a frankfurter cart, and the permanent kitchen space will allow the menu to expand. Along with supremely loaded brats and dogs, customers can order seriously stacked vegan hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, and comforting sides. A mushroom-based riff on a bloomin’ onion, baked mac ‘n’ cheese, entrée salads, and desserts will be new additions once the restaurant opens.
The Cycle Dogs food truck is still in operation while the new space prepares for opening. For updates, follow the business on Instagram at @cycledogs.
Cycle Dogs will be located at 5410 17th Ave NW, Seattle, WA 98107.
